"Appleberry" Pie/Пирог "Эплберри"

Today is a big day! The day of Pate Brisee at my home. I actually wanted to make a raspberry pie, but I didn't have enough berries, so I added some ... APPLES! That's how appeared "Appleberry" pie. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
Dough:
350 gr. flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
226 gr. butter
120 ml. cold water

Filling:
300 gr. raspberry
1-2 apples
2 tsp cornstarch
3 tbsp sugar

  • Place flour, salt and sugar in a food processor. Mix. 
  • Then add the sliced ​​pieces butter, mix again until smooth granular mass.
  • Add cold water and knead the dough. 
  • Wrap it in plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for an hour.


  • If the raspberries were frozen, let then thaw and drain the juice. 
  • Dice or grate an apple.
  • Mix berries with the apple, add the sugar and cornstarch.
  • Remove the dough from refrigerator. Divide it into 2 parts. 
  • Roll out on the floured surface to a thin layer. Gently move the dough with the rolling pin into pie dish.
  • Make small holes in the dough with a fork so that it doesn't rise during baking.
  • Roll out the second part of dough. Cut it into strips. Make the lattice, as it's shown here.
  • Bake at 200 С.
